This adapter lets you attach an alligator clip to a magnetic base dial indicator holder. It's essentially the ultimate version of a popular third hand, The dial indicator holder is stiff but with a turn of its knob allows for flexible positioning. Components: * A 50mm alligator clip that's been flattened at one end using pliers. * Three 3x8mm self-tapping screws. You can try to use standard M3 or 1/8 inch screws, but you might have to drill a slightly bigger hole. * A magnetic base dial indicator holder (find it on eBay). * A piece of steel for the base - an 80x80mm L bracket from a hardware store works well.
