Is your current roller too large to fit inside your dry box? Solve these problems and more with the new and improved one-size-fits-all derail-proof Ultimate Spool Roller 2! This revolutionary roller features a max width that fits spools 10mm wider than its predecessor, the original Ultimate Spool Roller. It requires less filament to print compared to its predecessor, eliminating the need for adjustments. The Ultimate Spool Roller 2 works with a wide variety of spool sizes, ranging from approximately 165-215mm in diameter and 0-79mm in width. When printing, spools will no longer jump off the rollers, ensuring smooth and uninterrupted prints. This roller is designed to fit inside Rubbermaid 21-cup dry box containers, making it a convenient addition to any print setup. It can also be used as a standalone roller, providing versatility for users with different printer configurations. The Ultimate Spool Roller 2 features easy-to-print designs, accommodating prints with overhangs of up to 45 degrees and minimum bridging requirements. To complete this project, you will need the following components: -2 printed rollers (spoolRollerRoller.stl) -2 printed side frames (spoolRollerFrame.stl) -1 printed desiccant riser (spoolRollerDesiccantRiser.stl) or a printed plate (spoolRollerPlate.stl) -4 608-size ball bearings -4 M3x6 bolts The desiccant riser is especially convenient for users with Rubbermaid 21-cup dry boxes. If you prefer not to use the riser, you can opt for the standard plate or bolt it to the top of your enclosure if desired. When swapping filaments, I plug the bulkhead with a scrap piece of PTFE, folded over with a zip-tie for easy handling, and sealed on the end with hot glue.
