This is a fully customizable keycap generator for mechanical keyboards with Cherry MX style switches (Cherry, Gateron, Kailh, Outemu etc.) in OEM profile, which is the most widely used keycap profile. To customize it, you will need Fusion 360, free software available to education or individual designer license holders. There are six parameters representing rows 0-5. Simply set a value of one for whichever row you would like to create a keycap for, and make sure to set zero for all other ones. This will automatically adjust the angle, concavity, and height of the keycap for that row. Easy peasy! Instructions: 1. Register, download, and install Fusion 360 (https://www.autodesk.com/products/fusion-360/students-teachers-educators) 2. Open the .f3d file in Fusion 360 3. In the Design environment click MODIFY -> Change Parameters 4. Adjust the U_Width (one for normal keys, etc.) and adjust any other parameters as desired 5. Set a value of one to the Row parameter you would like to make the keycap for and set zero for all other rows 6. Edit the Sketch Text sketch - right click on the example text and click Edit Text and change it to your liking; adjust the box around the text if needed so it is centered 7. Right click on Split Group or Rib Web and select Suppress features if you don't want the stem split or ribs 8. Right click on the main component (Key Generator Super SA) and click Save As STL, and export to your desired location 9. Slice in your desired slicer, send to 3D printer, and enjoy your new key! If it doesn't fit, try increasing or decreasing the MXHoleTolerance parameter slightly. Play around with the parameters for different shapes! If you break the model, just hit undo until it's back to normal. Update: Modified concave sketches on August 6, 2020, to fix a bug that caused the model to break when changing U width.
