Humans love making DIY projects using useful knob handles. Every custom-made knob available in this gallery has been created with a one-of-a-kind customizer. I've included several example knobs, as the most commonly used M3 nuts are an ideal size for 3D printing. One innovative use for hex bits is creating extra-small screwdriver handles. If you experience issues getting the handle to fit perfectly in place, simply warm up the nut to about 140-175 °F and it should slip in with ease. Check out the setup instructions I used for the sample files below. Instructions To print knob handles that stand out, I recommend using: 20% infill 0.2mm layer (or 0.3mm works perfectly too) Try out the expert->cross-section feature to make customizing even more efficient, but be sure to reset it before starting a new creation. These parameters were used in creating the sample STL files: M3x3.5 height=3.5 knurled_height=80 M3x10 height=10 knurled_height=70 A bit larger handle - Mini Bit Screwdriver: hex_nut_width = 6.35; hex_nut_thickness = 10; height=30; knurled_height=80; knurled_density=42; knurled_strong=15; diameter_2=125; screw_hole_diameter = 0 Mini Bit Screwdriver V1.1.1: hex_nut_width = 6.35; hex_nut_thickness = 10; height=40; knurled_height=80; knurled_density=60; knurled_strong=12; screw_hole_diameter = 85; screw_hole_length = 95;
