Ultimate Modular Ant Farm (Formicarium)
thingiverse
I'd like to be able to expand my nest without any tubes whenever I need to, and I'd like it one day to be very big. The problem is, I have a small printer. Well, that's why I made this - small form factor modules that connect to each other seamlessly, allowing even the smallest of printers to print them with ease. I use 3mm thick glass on top, cut to size for a precise fit. You can glue it or not; the choice is yours. Glass is quite heavy, so be prepared to handle it carefully. I have all sorts of connectors for pretty much any test tube size (12, 13, 15, 16, 18, and 20mm) at your disposal. I've also included a connector for 16mm tubing, just in case you need it. To ensure a tight seal, simply heat the connectors slightly and push the test tubes into place. You can find the complete STL files in the .rar file uploaded above. If you need a special part - perhaps a different tubing adaptor - feel free to contact me, and I'll create it for you on demand.
