This versatile tool holder / rack is engineered with a specific focus on the needs of everyday printing tasks for a 3D Printer. The modular holders effortlessly glide along a rail system, allowing them to be swapped out and rearranged as needed at any time. Duplicate holders can easily be printed and added to the rack. Multiple rail lengths are provided to accommodate various combinations. All modular holders measure 36mm wide, except one - the Pen Holder measures 45mm wide, while end caps are a compact 10mm wide. End caps are designed to be tapped into place with a mallet, requiring no glue. Some holders print in multiple pieces to eliminate the need for support during printing, allowing users to simply super glue the pieces together after printing is complete. A note on printer tolerances: my printer turned out to have 0.3mm tolerances, which proved necessary to achieve smooth movement of the holders within the rail system without excessive friction. This gap should be common in other printers as well, resulting in effortless gliding. The unconventional rail lengths are intended to provide an extra 25mm or so of free space, giving users flexibility when sliding tools into place. I discovered that providing a little extra room is an excellent idea for accommodating tools as needed. This tool rack has been carefully designed to accommodate the following essential printer accessories: Digital Caliper, Needle Nose Pliers, Small wire cutter, Blue Tape, Glue Stick, Print Removal Tool, Hex / Allen Wrenches, Scissors, Pens/Markers, Xacto Knife, Razor Blade / Scrapper, Super Glue, and a small parts bin. Original/Editable Fusion360 files are included for users who wish to create additional tool holders for the system.
