Ultimate MakerGear X-Carriage
thingiverse
This modified x-carriage features a hotend.com MkIV hotend and boasts several improvements. It utilizes linear bearing LM8UU for smooth movement, has a 3 cm lift kit for offroad-style height, and an integrated ducted fan for better cooling. The extruder is shifted on the carriage for optimal center of gravity, while the belt is positioned closer to the center for higher movement before touching. Tested and printed successfully, it offers a Z-height of 120 mm with MakerGear hotends if redesigned. A version for MakerGear hotends can be provided upon request. Currently using common 40mm fan screw spacing, the x-carriage fits MakerGear belt clamps and hardware. However, further design adjustments are needed for the x-carriage pulley and X-motor positioning. Photos showcasing vertex, belt, and frame clearances are available.
