2018-11-23 Update Following changes made: Fixed issue with motor mount and hobbed bolt holes not penetrating all layers. Tackled problem with idler floating a few mm above z=0. Original This is a remix of AndrewBCN's Ultimate Greg's Wade's Geared Extruder - Bowden version. I've modified the model to allow for PTFE liner use through the extruder body, which helps prevent kinks and jams. This design aligns with E3D recommendations on keeping filament inside PTFE tubing as much as possible. Major modification: Added support for PTFE tube and adjusted alignment parameters so that filament lines up with hobbed bolt instead of outer shell of PTFE liner. Changing only the filament diameter size in original SCAD to accommodate a PTFE tube won't get things lined up perfectly. Minor modifications: Increased M3 nut sizing by a bit to fit fat M3 nuts. (Can be adjusted by changing variable in config.scad.) Reduced pushfit connector sizing to accommodate PC4-M6 pushfit connector. (Can be adjusted by changing bowden_pushfit_d and bowden_pushfit_thread variables in main scad file.) Removed wire pass through holes as they weren't needed. They can be re-added by uncommenting lines 809, 810, 812, and 813 in the main scad file. Tightened tolerances in a few places. Search main scad file for "Elahd" to find my comments. Post-Printing Screw in pushfit connector tightly so it doesn't pop out during printing. Insert PTFE tubing into channel with tube pushing up against pushfit connector. Cut to size and cut out curve to match profile of bearing cutout (see photos).
