<h3>We abandoned six other counter mechanisms on Thingiverse after finding them wanting and decided to create our own. The core ratchet mechanism is taken from 2802141 but the rest is built entirely from scratch.</h3> <p>Key notes:</p> <ul> <li>The counter wheels click when turning and remain in place unless turned, ensuring they do not lose count between gaming sessions. To achieve a bit less tension, scale the wheels larger (e.g., 104%).</li> <li>The Axle is currently sized for Gloomhaven, comprising eight wheels, two spacers, and two end caps (HP, XP, and Gold). Resize by extruding the end as needed. For an optimal fit, you may also need to adjust sizing based on how your printer handles the thickness of the wheels. A full-length Axle STL is included for printing at 4.5mm width.</li> <li>The end caps click snugly into place with a bit of force – no glue is required.</li> <li>Both count-down and count-up wheels are available, but turning them in the opposite direction is more difficult. Count-down wheels can be used for HP/Life, while count-up wheels are suitable for Gold/XP, etc.</li> <li>The indent between numbers on the wheel allows your fingernail to catch when advancing the counter.</li> <li>When assembling, ensure everything is going in the right direction.</li> </ul> <p>We hope you enjoy this creation!</p>
