Ultimate Creality Ender 3 Cura Profile
thingiverse
January 4, 2019 - I apologize for my absence lately. The holiday season has hindered my hobby, but I've now completed testing on the latest profile, which is released as of version 2.0.3. The 'easy' profile beta still requires more testing, so I'll continue to work on that. Please note that the 1.0 version profile won't import into Cura 4 or later. Instead, use a 2.x.x profile. This is another available Cura profile for the Ender 3. Back when I assembled my printer, I could never find a profile that balanced accuracy, speed, and strength perfectly. So, I decided to create my own after quite some trial and error, which produced beautiful results. Realizing the rest of the community could benefit from it, I posted it on Thingiverse in the Ender 3 group. The profile has grown since then, tailored to meet the community's needs. I must thank @Shenkoe for his amazing troubleshooting guide for the Ender 3 and also releasing his own versions of my profile. Unfortunately, I've lately been struggling with issues on Thingiverse and have decided to relocate the file download here. Here you can find tested versions, updated periodically, usually for big releases of Cura (3, 4, upcoming 5) as well as beta releases that are not used much. Please let me know in the comments of the topic linked below or below here if there are any revisions that should be made to the profile. It will greatly help. To download: DO NOT use the zip download. This usually won't download the latest version. Instead, go to the files section and select the profile you would like to download. Verified profiles are labeled final, beta profiles are labeled as betas, and semi-beta 'testing' profiles are also available and are labeled as such. Slicing a 3DBenchy using this profile with supports off currently gives an estimate of 1 hour and 42 minutes. Usually, this profile has accurate estimates. Optional configuration: This profile contains settings for tree supports that are not enabled by default. To enable them, FIRST turn off support generation. If you don't, it will generate both usual and tree supports and print both. Then go to the experimental dropdown box and enable tree supports. Enjoy your printing!
