This is a casing for the electronics of the Creality CR-10 Printer. I designed it because the stock solution was loud, and i didn't really liked how it looks.

With this case, you can fit 2 pcs of 120mm silent PC fan for cooling the electronics, thus you can get rid of the noisy stock small fans.

This is a multiple piece, large print, and it takes a significant time to print. also the assembly requires attention.

I included 3 different fan grill design, you can use whichever you like for the front and rear, they are kinda universal in this way.

Important!! if you read the instructions included with the files, you know that you need to extend some power wiring inside the case. The other thing i forgot to mention is that, you need to de-solder the beeper from the screen, and solder it back from the other side of the panel. Otherwise it will interfere with the fan.

Feel free to contact me if you have any question!

At this point i'd like to thank Mightynozzle for the fan grill designs.

Here you can check out his profile, and things: https://www.thingiverse.com/mightynozzle/about

And this is the original Customizable Fan Grill Cover: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2802474

Print Settings

Printer Brand:

Creality

Printer:

CR-10

Rafts:

Doesn't Matter

Supports:

Doesn't Matter

Resolution:

0.2mm

Infill:

10%

Notes:

i designed the model to minimize the need of support. The side panel, and fan grills can be printed without support at all. For the main part, you might need some support for the larger holes, but it is possible to print the whole model without support, you just need some good print settings in your slicer. Also, you can print the model with 2 perimeters and 3 top/bottom solid layers, or you can print it 100% solid, it does not makes a huge difference, since the model is relatively thin(2mm sidewalls everywhere). But it is strong enough. ;)

I printed it in PET-G, and a friend of mine printed it in PLA.

Post-Printing

the model does not need major modifications after the print. you might have to remove the support if you decided to print it with support. More instructions about the installation can be found in the included document. contact me if you have any further question.

Category: 3D Printer Parts
