Hello! I've been having some major issues with my printers this summer - many of them are overheating motors. I initially checked the current, but everything seemed fine, so I decided to design a Nema 17 stepper motor cooler for efficient and perfect cooling with easy setup. Before printing, make sure you read your print settings! Here are the most important features of my work: - It fits all Nema17 stepper motors (42mm sides) larger than 40mm (40, 48, 60: nearly all printers) - You can use a 40mm or 30mm fan; I'll also make a radial fan model if you want - The design fits on the back of the motor: almost all steppers have free space to fit this - It's printed in two parts: no need to unmount the stepper motor, and you can install it while printing in plus and play mode! - Efficient cooling is achieved with the baffles I made - It cools both sides and the rear of the motor - Easy to print: just set 100% infill and support for angles higher than 70° - In my case, the temperature dropped from 58°C to 35°C (136°F to 95°F) during a four-hour print - no more stepper skips or overheating! - M3 screws (10 or 12mm) are used to hold the 40mm fan - Simply print it, attach it to the stepper motor, mount the fan, and you're good to go!
