Ultimate Apple Watch(s) Stand
thingiverse
I redesigned the watch stand from a model made by @ScanSource3D. The problem was that I didn't like the print when it was laid flat on one side and the extrusion lines weren't in the best layout for support and structure. So, I re-did everything based on measurements from http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:864011. With three parts to print, you can lay them flat to get a good structure. I didn't sink the charger all the way down into the part because I wanted some space between the top of the charger and the model. You can see this in one of the pictures above. Why so many parts? I made it so that you can have an Apple Watch stand that is either left or right oriented. It's up to you. If you're really cool and have two apple watches, you could connect both sides and have a sweet little watch stand. This is probably the only Double Apple Watch stand out there (probably not). If you do the Twin watch stand, you'll most likely need to print it in ABS and then use Acetone to weld both sides on. You will want to print the "no holes" .STL files for that. I've supplied files with holes that take a 20mm M3 screw and washer. You may want to tap (M3 x .05 tap) out the holes because I made them tight. I have also supplied files without holes if you want to weld them up with Super Glue or Acetone. If you want a LEFT facing stand (support on right) with holes for screws, download the 3 files with the word "left" in the name. If you want a RIGHT facing stand (support on the left) with holes for screws, download the 3 files with the word "right" in the name. If you want to glue/weld (no screws), download the 3 files with the words "no holes" depending on which side you want. The SIDE model will be the same for either. If you want the TWIN (watches on both sides), download all the files with the words (no holes) in the name. Print Settings: Printer: Micro M3D Rafts: No Supports: Yes Resolution: .15 Infill: 15% Notes: You will need support only on the SIDE file. This is for the cut out that the charger cable runs down. Other than that, no support is needed as long as you put the bottoms for the TOP and BASE flat on the bed. For the side, just put the large flat side on the bed.
