The idea revolves around hot air + more aerodynamic shapes also omnidirectional POV control using gyroscopic forces from multi-rotors. By my estimate, this is faster, cheaper, safer, and more efficient compared to traditional helicopters. It might even be more efficient than airplanes. Purchased 7035 propellers but couldn't find matching pairs; need to print custom tri-blades with a few mm less to avoid tip rubbing. Firmware is still undecided; likely using Arduino Nano and possibly MultiWii. Closed-loop dry steam with exchange could work well for heating air inside the hull; there's risk of implosion when using steam directly, exhaust from a motor might be able to do it too.
