***scroll down for 2.0 upgrades This spool holder upgrade boasts improved functionality and aesthetics compared to its Prusa original counterpart, born out of the "pimp my Prusa" design challenge. Key features include a screw-cone system that enables swift spool mounting, ensuring stability during print operations and low-friction rotation thanks to a specially crafted bushing shape. The arm has undergone a complete redesign, featuring an innovative fem-derived lattice structure that offers remarkable stiffness at a significantly reduced weight. Several hours of intense work with specialized CAD and FEM software went into perfecting this unique lattice design, resulting in a final product that I am proud to showcase. All components are printable, but upgrades are still in progress; check back later for further enhancements! P.S. The rod can be easily replaced with a PVC or metal 16mm commercial rod, which is highly recommended for improved performance. +++++ 2.0 UPGRADE +++++ - Bushings have been enhanced for easier printing. - Arm sectioning allows for dual material print and custom infill in coupling areas by aligning the parts within the slicer.
