Ultimaker 2 Template for Simplify3D This remix is built upon Mike Bogutsch's (fortwienix) Wanhao Template for S3D, available at http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2298799. His permission to use his instructions is greatly appreciated. The template created here is designed specifically for Simplify3D but may also work with other slicers according to some reports. Currently, the template supports the Ultimaker2 and UM3 models, with UMO support potentially added in the near future. Simplify3D Template Installation: Copy the STL file (e.g. UltimakerPrintBed.stl) into the following folder: C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Local\Simplify3D\S3D software Launch Simplify3D and export your FFF profile to the desktop by selecting File->Export FFF Profile. Open the exported profile with a text editor like Notepad, locate approximately line 145, and search for these entries: overridePrinterModels>0 printerModelsOverride></printerModelsOverride Replace the value from 0 to 1 in the first entry and enter the template name followed by STL in the second entry, as shown below: overridePrinterModels>1 printerModelsOverride>TEMPLATE NAME.STL</printerModelsOverride If overridePrinterModels is already set to 1, skip this step. Save the profile changes, import it back into Simplify3D, and restart the software. Tip: To ensure proper centering of the template, import the model into Simplify3D, adjust its position as needed, export the updated model by selecting File->Export Models->Export Binary STL.
