Ultimaker X,Y Blocks Featuring Quick Removal of Gantry
thingiverse
This unique bearing block was designed specifically for a larger Ultimaker printer. It offers an efficient way to remove the gantry by simply unscrewing two cap head screws on each block. The underside features a two-part belt clamp, ideal for use with open-ended belts. To accommodate overhang while printing, removable pieces have been added to the main block. For optimal printing, it's recommended to use brim. The bill of materials includes 6 M3 hexagon nuts, 4 M3 x 8 hexagon socket head cap screws, and 2 M3 x 20 hexagon socket head cap screws. The linear bearing (RJZM-01-08) is IGUS-made and can be found at http://www.igus.co.uk/wpck/2292/drylin_r_rjum_01?C=GB&L=en. All rods used are 8mm in diameter. The .ipt and .iam files are provided for anyone who wishes to modify the design.
