Ultimaker Tool Holder

Ultimaker Tool Holder

myminifactory

This object was designed in Tinkercad, a free online CAD tool. I created it for holding tools used on my Ultimaker 3 printer in our high school Graphics Class. Some students have been complaining about me leaving my 3D printing tools scattered around the classroom. To solve this problem and keep my tools organized, I designed a holder that mounts easily onto the side of the printer. This way, my tools are always within reach when I need them. The tool holder features spaces for a spatula, exacto knife, pick, glue stick, screwdriver included with the printer, and a plastic scraper. Why include a scraper? I discovered that old glue can be easily removed by running water over the build plate and using the scraper to scrape it off. If you don't like this feature, you can modify the model in Tinkercad yourself. This design should work with any Ultimaker printer except the original models. If you have ideas on how to improve this model, please let me know. Print Details: With a 10% fill density and any layer height desired, supports are required. Print time can range from 9 hours to 1 day and 23 hours. The model weighs 90 grams with 22 grams of support.
