Ultimaker sound damper
thingiverse
To reduce noise from my Ultimaker in a shared room, I used old springs to create dampers that uncouple the 3D printer from its wooden desk. These dampers significantly decrease sound levels, especially during high accelerations. In fact, photos show a reduction of at least 3 dB, which is noticeable in a living space. Although a sketchup file is included for design reference, springs may not be readily available; nonetheless, mounting the dampers under your printer ensures a quieter printing experience.
