The FormFuturas cardboard spools inside diameter is larger than ultimaker plastic spools. this let the spools rim touch the spoolholder arm on the underside. the friction of the spools cardboard at the rim and sides got so large, that the spool got stuck and the filament feeder blocked. printing these adapters reduces friction and compensates for the inner diameter. 3D printing works fine with no blockage due to cardboard spool.
