Ultimaker S5 Axis Alignment Jig (X & Y)

thingiverse

These are two jigs used to align the Ultimaker S5 X & Y axis accurately. Two rod sizes exist: a central rod measuring 10mm in diameter runs along the X Axis, while all others measure 8mm in diameter. A need arises for two distinct jigs: one connects the 10mm central rod to the 8mm rods and another joins the 8mm to 8mm rods. Each notch allows roughly a 40-degree rotation, making it easier to adjust screw sets on pulleys. It's recommended that you watch this video from MakerShop for an in-depth look at the process and how to use these jigs effectively. They did an excellent job of showcasing the procedure and demonstrating how to loosen or tighten screws properly. When removing a jig, turn it sideways to detach it easily. Additionally, be cautious when inserting jigs into rods with belts running along them to avoid applying pressure or tension on the belts themselves.
