Ultimaker Robot Mascot - Negative Mold
thingiverse
This is a fundamental mold for creating the Ultimaker Robot using metal-in-abs-casting. I utilize Rose's Metal, which has a melt point below that of ABS (a crucial consideration unless you want your mold to melt), for casting and then dissolve the mold with pure Acetone. This straightforward mold features an integrated funnel for simpler pouring and includes inlet/outlet holes to allow metal to flow into the mold cavity and for displaced air to escape. No guarantee is provided, whether expressed or implied. Please avoid melting your face off or engaging in any other reckless behavior. Okay? Enjoy casting! Note: I replaced the original model on 3/19 to correct a Tinkercad operator (myself) mistake that left a .25 mm gap between the upper bowl and main mold segment. I also resized it to twice the size of the original.
