This part replaces section "E" ("wooden panel with adjustable level screws") of the Z-Stage on the original Ultimaker setup. \nI installed a heated bed several years ago, made from a substantial chunk of aluminum that proved stiffer than the thin birch panel holding it, which gradually warped over time due to this disparity in stiffness. This design serves as my replacement because purchasing the upgraded z-stage of the Ultimaker+, although an excellent option, is simply too expensive for me.\n\n \n \n Instructions\nFor users employing a heated bed, it's essential not to print this model with PLA, as its heat will cause the material to soften and potentially sag significantly. I strongly recommend utilizing PET if available; ABS can also be used if you possess the necessary skills to mitigate warping issues effectively. Be liberal with infill density to counteract any unwanted distortions.\nI hope the installation process is self-explanatory. Simply substitute the original screws, disregarding nuts entirely since they're unnecessary for securing the assembly, but exercise caution not to over-tighten to avoid potential damage or stress on adjacent components.
