This spacer is installed on the x/y rods of a UMO between the bearing and the pulley, ensuring precise alignment and smooth operation. Measuring exactly to the required length, it facilitates secure attachment of the rods to the pulleys from within the frame's interior, eliminating the need for end caps with friction-inducing properties. The concept behind this innovative design was pioneered by Ultimaker in their UM2 model.
