Introducing a replacement for the original wooden extruder gear, compatible with both Ultimaker Original and Ultimaker Original+ printers. Previous designs were unsatisfactory due to tooth profile inconsistencies or difficulty in fastening stepper screws, prompting the creation of this new gear. Key features include: - Excellent fit with the stepper pinion, featuring involute teeth that align with the axes and tooth count - Optimal tooth contact area achieved by using only one washer between the bearing and gear (though tightening the extruder clamp may be challenging) - Stepper screw fastening is possible - Minimal backlash when stepper motor is aligned properly, potentially enhancing retraction quality - M8 nut fits securely - Rigid structure even at 20% infill This print does not require support material. Updates include thicker teeth for easy printing without support material (10.05.2013) and a second STL file for use with two washers (29.04.2013). Note that photos depict version 1 of the gear. Enjoy your print! No support material is needed, and 20% infill with a layer height not critical. Mount it with the flat side facing outward.
