I decided to build a new print bed out of a nice 6mm aluminum sheet, incorporating nearly plug-in 3-point bed leveling. I finished replacing my acrylic bed some time ago and I'm absolutely thrilled with this setup as it requires not too much space, minimal modification on the original parts and gives a very smooth and easy leveling experience. Next up will be to add a silicone heater pad for a heated bed solution...
