Ultimaker LED strip attachment
thingiverse
The attachments for common LED strips come specifically designed for the original Ultimaker 1 printer model. A hassle-free installation process eliminates the need for drilling; instead, you simply snap them into place. If needed, the LED Strip may be securely fastened using a small piece of tape to ensure it safely fits within the designated groove. In response to previous concerns regarding attachment security, I made an update on September 30th, 2014. At that time, I was dissatisfied with the existing attachment method for the LED strip and thus decided to revise the design to eliminate any additional taping needed for secure positioning. The updated attachments can now be effortlessly clamped onto the Ultimaker while gently pulling the LED Strip through its designed slot. My ongoing development aims to introduce a highly customizable attachment system; unfortunately, this feature remains a work-in-progress. For optimal printing results, it is advisable to produce these attachments without infill to ensure sufficient flexibility. It is suggested that the printer settings include a wall thickness of 0.8mm, and bottom and top layers should both measure at 0.5mm in thickness.
