Ultimaker fan support New Version
thingiverse
Print the fan support for Ultimaker using ABS, not PLA. This allows you to use different materials for the arms. Check out my pattern on Thingiverse (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:35365) by ultimakerinleipzig. Ensure your heated bed requires at least 4mm clearance over it. I've made improvements, correcting air flow and chamfering the flat screw's holes. To use this support, follow these instructions: print it, purchase 6mm MDF (6x16.4x6 mm3), create four wooden arms from the MDF (4 x 6x16.4x6 mm3), and drill 3mm holes in the arms for screwing them to the support and Ultimaker head. Use two M3x40mm screws with nuts. Refer to the pictures for clarification.
