Ultimaker Electronics Cooling Duct
thingiverse
The original Ultimaker radial fan is known for its poor quality. A replacement that replaces the entire cooling assembly is now available, inspired by designs from http://www.thingiverse.com/Sonarok. This improved version works with a 40mm fan and doesn't require printing extra feet. A Noctua fan was used in this model, measuring 24dB(a) noise level. Noctua also provides all the necessary adapters to connect the 3-Pin Connector to the always-on 19V (18.8) port (regular fan). However, you may want to use a 24V fan instead and solder a voltage regulator on it. To assemble, print both parts, optionally thread the holes of the fan holder with M3x12mm screws, attach the fan with M3x12mm screws, and then secure the parts together with M3x6mm screws.
