To check the bed level on an Ultimaker, use a digital caliper like this LCD Digital Tread Depth Gauge (0.0005 inch/metric). Start by drilling 6mm bolt holes for easier access. The depth gauge fits into the holder and is extended over the bar to reach the print bed. It can be easily removed during printing. Adjust bed height screws by pulling the rod up, moving the print head manually, pushing it back down, and making necessary adjustments.
