Ultimaker Cover

Ultimaker Cover

thingiverse

This Ultimaker front cover is printed in four separate parts. It needs to be positioned diagonally on the print bed, but even then it makes full use of this space. The side component should be printed twice - once as a standard part, and again as a mirrored version of itself. As a result, the mean power consumption has decreased from approximately 180 to about 100 watts. Is it perfect? Not quite. Does it look ugly? Yes, it does. But does it get the job done? Absolutely. Why was an enclosure created? To reduce fumes, minimize noise, enhance temperature stability and lower power consumption.
