Having enhanced my Ultimaker's print accuracy, I decided to tackle its noisy fan. So, I designed a replacement for the noisy fan and plastic piece while retaining the wooden parts. However, I soon realized that I would have to raise my printer if I wanted to replace the radial fan. This led me to develop a v2 version that replaces the entire cover mounted on the electronics board, guiding air to crucial components and allowing hot air to escape through open spots. The design also features predetermined breaking points for customization. To secure the cover, I added "locks" that snap onto larger screw holes. Additionally, using my modified version of Gijs' Ultimaker feet will reduce vibration, noise, and raise your printer by about 2 cm, enhancing overall printing experience. Here are the instructions: print the cover, feets, and locks if needed; mount a fan on the cover with decoupling mounts; finally, attach the cover to the electronics board like the original one, ensuring you plug in the fan.
