Ultimaker Cable Chain

Ultimaker Cable Chain

To utilize Robert's cable chain on my Ultimaker original, I adapted his design (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:193948). I kept the chain parts unchanged but created new bottom and top end pieces. Additionally, I scaled down the original parts by 75% to provide ample space for heater and thermistor wiring. Dim3nsioneer further improved the fit of the chain on his UM Original by modifying the bed end part. In my thing, I incorporated this modification. For printing, prepare 1 bottom end with 5 lid pieces, print as many chain segments and lids as needed (I used 10), and a top end with 1 lid piece. Clean all parts for smooth functioning. Assemble the chain and mount the bottom end to the rear plywood using screws or double-sided tape. Fasten the top end to the lowest arm assembly screw. Finally, place cables in the chain and secure it with lids. More detailed instructions are available.
