These brackets enable you to attach a plastic screen to the front of your Ultimaker 3, serving as a thermal shield when printing challenging materials like ABS or ASA. Simply print two parts, purchase a 12-inch wide clear polycarbonate sheet, cut it to your desired height based on whether you have the standard Ultimaker 3 or the extended version. Next, notch the top corners (1 inch by 1.5 inches) to avoid interfering with the screws on the printer's face. Drill four holes at the screen's top to secure the brackets flush and then assemble everything together. The screen will slide smoothly over the front of the printer, fitting snugly to maintain a stable temperature inside the machine.
