When the UM3 was released, I asked Gudo if he could modify a couple of cores to 1.75mm, which is how this design got started. We had the idea of creating a Flexible Fixed Point to have a slightly more rigid core that would improve print quality and also enable nozzles to be swapped faster without damaging the thin Heat Break of the core in the process. In the spirit of Open Source, Gudo and I decided to share the Step files of the modified parts, which will help future modders to keep developing around the Core concept. Keep in mind that any modifications done are at your own risk of damaging a core, so make sure you have a good understanding before attempting anything. Also, all the files were made from a real core, and no UM files were used to create this. This design should only be used for non-profit developments.
