A sleek new handle for the Ultimaker 2 is now available, offering a more secure grip than ever before. This redesigned part builds on the original Ultimaker 2 Handle with significant improvements in several key areas. To start, the fillets have been reworked to provide an even better fit, while also reducing the diameter slightly. This was necessary due to some issues that arose during testing - the original design turned out to be a bit too tight, especially when installed on the Ultimaker 2. Below you'll find a detailed guide for installation: Printed with a vibrant and translucent "Innofil Ice Blue" filament. When preparing the handle for use, I utilized Simplify3D for slicing, allowing me to create concentric solid infills. This resulted in a more pronounced glow effect compared to using rectilinear infill settings. For assembly purposes, I carefully pried out the original handle using a small screwdriver - be cautious as this part is easily damaged. Begin by locating the small hole situated within the interior of the handle and working your way outward. Once you've exposed enough material, proceed to gently push and rotate the old handle 180 degrees in a clockwise motion until it's completely removed from the system.
