Based on http://www.youmagine.com/designs/ultimaker-2-knob--2 I redesigned fillets to be more subtle and reduced the diameter slightly because the original design proved to be a bit too robust, especially when used with my Ultimaker 2. Printed with Innofil Ice Blue transparent filament for an eye-catching glow effect. To achieve this look, I utilized Simplify3D for slicing, opting for solid infills that are concentric rather than rectilinear. This approach produces a more vibrant appearance than traditional infill patterns would. Other settings ensured there was no infill within the part itself, which allowed me to remove the original knob with ease using a small screwdriver and a small hole on its inner surface. Once removed, I carefully pushed it out slightly before rotating it 180 degrees to prevent jamming until it finally came loose.
