Ultimaker 2 Ornament

For me, the Making Merry contest and 3-D printing in general are all about having fun with the machines. Whether you have a $2000 or a $400 machine, everyone can gather together and discuss ways to improve their 3D printer as well as show off what they can contribute back to the community. This sharing of open-source 3D printers and models has allowed the industry to grow significantly over time. So, I'm giving this to the world: a 5.5-to-1 scale model of the Ultimaker 2. I made it not only because it's the contest prize but also because it's a beautiful machine and a challenge to model. It prints as three separate parts: the body of the printer, the extruder with the x and y axes, and the front panel with the Ultimaker logo. Insert the front x-axis rod into the back of the Ultimaker panel (so that the extruder nozzle is on the left side). Then snap all parts into place and slide the logo down into its final position.
