Ultimaker 2 flat feet (anti-vibration)
thingiverse
Flat feet are a simple way to reduce noise when using an Ultimaker 2. These flat surfaces help isolate vibrations by providing a solid foundation for the printer's weight. To take it a step further, adding some extra cushioning under the feet can make all the difference. I personally used some 3M "Multi Purpose Sealing and Insulation Tape" to soften the surface even more. Another option is printing custom flat feet using Ninjaflex or a similar flexible material. However, at the time of this experiment, I didn't have access to any Ninjaflex. Print Settings Used: Printer Brand: Ultimaker Printer: Ultimaker 2 Rafts: No rafts were used. Supports: No supports were needed. Resolution: A resolution of 0.2mm was chosen for the print job. Infill: The infill density was set to 20%. Notes: These settings are more or less standard and made use of leftover Ultimaker PLA filament.
