Ultimaker 2+ Feeder Gear
thingiverse
I upgraded my Ultimaker 2 to a 2+ using the extrusion kit. After one week of printing, I encountered an issue with the inner gear - specifically, the smaller 11-teeth one. The feeder motor shaft was rotating loosely inside the gear, preventing it from turning. This resulted in severe under-extrusions. So, I decided to print a replacement. Print Settings: Printer Brand: Ultimaker Printer Model: Ultimaker 2 Raft: Yes Supports: No Resolution: 0.1 mm Infill: 100% Notes: I found that PLA was not strong enough for me. Instead, I used Colorfabb XT with great results. I haven't tried ABS yet, but I think it would work well. Also, I scaled the X and Y axes to compensate for shrinkage (1% for Colorfabb XT, 3% for PLA).
