Ultimaker 2 extrusion power supply fan guide
thingiverse
I have constructed a customized version of the Ultimaker 2 Aluminum Extrusion 3D printer and installed a plexiglass cover to shield the electronic components beneath the build platform from dust and debris. I discovered that the power supply was re-routing the input, so I decided to redirect the warm air flow away from the electronics and will add a general case fan for enhanced cooling. The version in the picture had some issues which have been resolved, resulting in cleaner prints with the updated STL file. Enjoy experimenting with this design! How I Designed This I used Shapr3D, a powerful tool that allows me to work offline on my iPad Pro without an internet connection and leverages the precision of my Apple Pencil. Although it's still undergoing improvements and occasionally crashes, I appreciate its capabilities. Try out Shapr3D for yourself - support the developers who are working hard to refine their software. While the subscription model may be pricey for casual users, the free version offers a solid foundation for most designers.
