Mount the dial indicator solely during the leveling process. An empty indicator mount or the indicator itself will obstruct the frame's full range of motion through the extruder. This warning comes from personal experience, not a reckless experiment (-: This attachment fits a standard 1" dial gauge to the Ultimaker 2 extruder head for easier build plate calibration. I've also included a shaft extension design for printing, ideal for users without a long enough indicator shaft. All holes are intentionally undersized, allowing you to complete them with a drill bit to achieve a secure fit on the indicator and an easy removal from the extruder. Keep the mount attached to the dial gauge and simply place it over the left front knurled post on top of the extruder while running the leveling routine.
