Ultimaker 2+ dial gauge_V5
thingiverse
This dial gauge holder is a breeze to install. Simply attach it to the two screws off the hotend and you're good to go. To take full advantage of the 5mm range on your dial gauge, be sure to extend it with a 70mm add-on. When printing, remove the device as the hotend gets alarmingly close to the housing, and a collision could easily occur. For an Ultimaker 2+, this holder fits snugly onto the hotend's screws. The dial gauge needs to be lengthened for optimal use, which I managed to do with a 70mm extension purchased from eBay at a steal. At the start of each print job, the hotend draws very close to the housing. Although there is some clearance provided, I take the precaution of removing the holder before printing to avoid any potential crashes.
