SummaryVer1.01 Upgrades! http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1644564 This upgrade is a tribute to the Ultimaker 2 clone, a remarkable creation that deserves praise. A huge thumbs up goes out to the talented individual who designed it (^_^)b. The main goal of this project was to reduce costs, making a high-quality 3D printer accessible to the masses. By using only Open Source Hardware and Software, the total cost came in at around £350 (~US$530), a staggering factor of 4 reduction from the original UM2 retail price of £1,700 in the UK. The print volume is impressive, measuring 205x205x213mm (XYZ), while the print quality matches that of the Ultimaker 2. Print speed is also comparable to the original model. With the use of an original UM2 heatbed, this upgrade can reach temperatures of up to 110C @28V.
