Ultimaker 2+ 1.75mm conversion
thingiverse
These are parts to upgrade an Ultimaker 2+, and possible other types, to 1.75mm filament. Aside from these printed parts you also need to purchase the hardware listed below. It all fits together but I haven't run an operational test yet. Use at your own risk! I don't have a adapter for connecting the bowden tube to the extruder as a 1.75mm ptfe coupler I still had fitted pretty well. Printed parts: - Hot-end carriage top piece accommodating push fittings for 1.75mm filament bowden tubes. Left and right hole for optional dual extrusion set-up. Update: added a new version which has room to pass the stock hot-end cooling fan through. - Replacement arm for extruder for improved grip on the thinner 1.75mm filament. Not my design! found in on a website somewhere which I can't trace back. Print this in your strongest filament. Optional: - Bowden tube guide to help guide the tube into the ptfe coupler. It sits atop the ptfe coupler. Print this in petg or better heat resistant material. The margins are tight so might not work for your printer.
