Things I upgraded: Raised the E3D v6 HeatSink to get the bowden clip fitting perfectly. Added a chamfer catching the underside of the heat sink, so air does not cool the heater block as fast. This results in faster heating. Also added mounting points for thermocouple amplifier PCB, illuminating the print bed. To follow: ABS is only acceptable printing material! The UM1 heater block gets destroyed by PLA prints due to its close proximity to E3D mount. Thermocouple Amplifier PCB. Mounting requirements: To get thermocouple amplifier PCB working you need to desolder 2 connectors. Then connect either directly to the board, or use plug-on connectors at board's opposite side. The latter was chosen and screw on connectors utilized, still attaching to UM mainboard while having plug-on for Thermocouple. PCB slips in seamlessly and holds tightly using no screws or adhesive. Used Fan Duct Used an identical fan duct similar to prior versions due to its positioning near heater block also. Printed plenty of objects; removed merely 1 drop of ABS melted on them. HeatSink Fan
