Ultibots K250 V-Slot Spool Adapter

I designed this filament spool holder adapter for the Ultibot K250 V-Slot printer, available on Thingiverse at http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:456659. The regular sized Hatchbox spools that came with my printer worked great, but I wanted to use Octave Green filament for different projects. I used this opportunity to test how large the Ultibot K250 V-Slot printer could print and was impressed by its performance on a large-scale project. With only a week of assembly experience under my belt, the printer has done remarkably well so far. While I still need to work out some minor issues, it's quickly becoming perfect. I designed this spool holder based on the dimensions of the full-sized Hatchbox spool and opted for a two-part design due to varying inner diameters among different spools. To ensure a proper fitment, I tested the filament rod with several different spools: Octave 1kg Spool, 3D Solutech 1.1 LBS (0.5KG), HATCHBOX 0.45kg Spool (1.0 lbs) and M3D. For those using Taulman t-glase Filament, the hole dimension will need to be re-designed, as it is significantly smaller than the other spools I mentioned. A different spool adapter rod should suffice for these users. The Spool Adapter Rod has an outside diameter of 1.23 inches. It took around four hours and fifteen minutes to print the base plate and two hours for the rod itself, with some minor adjustments potentially yielding faster print times.
