ULM / Plane - Dual Led Strobe Light
thingiverse
Here's an early design of a dual Cree LED XHP70.1 strobe. Work in progress! The idea is to set two XHP70.1 Cree LEDs at a preset angle on the base. The cover will be printed with a factor like 102% so it can be a little bit bigger (or printed directly with transparent filament and high temperature for a quite transparent finish after polishing). Once the LEDs are installed and connected, you can use the cover as a mold, filled with liquid acrylic, plunge the LED on support, and let it dry. As LEDs are pretty cheap, once they're dead, you can create a new side probe. All files, including SolidWorks one, are present so you can re-design it as you wish. The electronic part consists of an Arduino driving FET and high power resistor to limit current. Everything is set on an aluminum box using thermal glue paste to prevent any perturbation on radio components.
