In version V6, the mass is only 0.099 lb. The contest was undoubtedly tough, as the allowable stress turns out to be too low for the load experienced. To meet the 0.1 lb mass limit, approximately 10 ksi of allowable is required. On the Von Misses plot, there are stress concentrations near the holes; however, these are typically disregarded in industry due to the need for further analysis using pull-through and bearing bypass methods.
