ULA Bracket - HRW (hardcore reduced weight)
grabcad
The setup for topology optimization includes loads of 300 lbf on a vertical bore (requires two parts) and four fully fixed horizontal holes. The bracket consists of six non-design-space rings. Analysis setup involves a 1350 N load in the negative Z-direction on a horizontal plane, with vertical openings fixed and the backside plane on a gliding constraint. Each part (requires two) weighs 10.10 grams (0.022 lbs) with a volume of approximately 7540 mm³. The part is designed for printing from the backplane, with an optimal layer height of 0.040 inches and no need for support material. The backplane does not have R60,15 due to the small size of the parts and lack of a plane between them. This allows for alignment based on curvature. The brackets are extremely lightweight, as demonstrated in "Optimization2.jpg," which shows the optimization results after three hours with small element sizes.
